Woke prosecutors bringing weak cases to Court

The NSW Office of Director of Public Prosecutions has been heavily attacked by 5 judges in that state for bringing criminal cases lacking in merit.

In one such case, Judge Peter Whitford granted a costs certificate to the acquitted man and in his judgment noted that “far too frequently” the DPP abandoned its own guidelines on a worthy prosecution “in favour of simply letting a jury (or a judge sitting alone) decide the merits of a case, without any professional examination of either the reasonable prospects of securing a conviction or the public interest in pursuing the prosecution”.

This scandal comes in the wake of the #metoo movement, whose article of faith is that all women who make accusations of wrongdoing against men must be believed, except of course when the accused man is a leftist politician. Such puerile tribal thinking goes against the root principles of our legal system of the presumption of innocence and equality under the law, not to mention common sense and decency. This shows why legal proceedings and politics should never mix.

Who is going to be sacked for such egregious wastes of taxpayer’s money in NSW?
